Thread: Limewire Shutdown

i havent used limewire for years and last night i thought id download it but fell asleep whilst it was downloading.... so tonight i tried to start it up and it says i need to update, strange seeing as i only downloaded it last night.

so i head over to the website and this is what i find, end of another era!

My Dad actually used this a lot to grab music singles, heh

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should be telling him to use now that it's shut down?

same thing he should've been using prior to the shutdown - usenet

He's over 60. And downloads singles.

Something a little more straight forward than Usenet.

itunes - tell the greedy bugger to pay for 'em ;P

or tell him all songs have been reduced to 6 seconds in length and point him toward the preview play button

Whats a good usenet client to use? Ive been meaning to get on the usenet bandwagon since i have node and never used it before.
