    Socceroos World Cup qualification trail to Brazil 2014

    So our first Asian WC qualifier at home against Thailand was rather embarrassing, with a measly 2-1 win over a team 100 ranks beneath us.

    Whose getting up at 3:30am Wednesday to watch us take on Saudi Arabia in our second? Live on Fox Sports 2.

    We're the only team in our group with a win after the first game, and realistically shouldn't lose one with Oman, Saudi and Thailand being our competitors in group D.

    Strong win for the Socceroos over Saudi, 3-1. The penalty awarded against us was clearly a wrong decision, we should have walked away with a clean sheet.

    We're up against Oman on the 12th of Sept next, who just lost to Thailand 3-0.

    It's a great draw for us; a worse than usual Saudi and a better than usual Thai shouldn't be bothering us if we're on form. And Oman don't have a chance.

    If we don't top the group I'll be very worried.
