Shack News are reporting that pre-orders for the PC installment of the very awesome SFIV are now being taken on Steam, with a 10% discount - USD $35.99, is the figure.
Can anyone here confirm if this is the case for the Australian region, and what the price is? I'll be sure to jump on when home, and place my order!
Street Fighter IV for the PC is set for a July 7th release date.
Just pre-ordered via Steam Powered website!
From places that have broken street date, yes. And if I didn't have it on the 360 already, I might have bought it from a retail outlet.
Regardless; I don't want a box, I don't want a key, and I don't want a disc. I want it in my Steam games list.
Digital Distribution convenience is a pre-requisite for any game I purchase. Generally, if I can't download it legitimately, I won't play it.
Prepare to be beaten soundly Jamie.
:P
Started downloading tonight and was suspicious because I wasn't getting my usual 1.4MBs download speed from Steam... Anyway... tapping my fingers waiting for Node to update my usage and it looks like it's metered. For now anyway... So I had to stop it because I'm getting light on the ol' cap.
I have done well this month though... just hit over 70GB metered and 31GB unmetered...
Edit: I might be wrong. Sometimes Node recredits you and moves the dls over to the unmetered bit. I guess I'll see in the morning.
*shrugs*
It's metered. Bastards.
Internode claim that all Steam content server data is unmetered? I'd be calling them up to have them adjust your quota.
Internode :: Residential :: Entertainment :: Unmetered Content
(^) Steam Content Server
Internode is the only ISP that offers free traffic to all Australian steam content servers, which provide automated and convenient software/patch updating services for a variety of current online games. See Welcome to Steam for more information about Steam. As long as your steam content download originates from an Australian hosted Steam server, it will not count toward your Broadband usage.
operative bit being "Australian steam content servers" - a lot of new games don't seem to hit the aussie servers straight away. had the same issue with GTA4 which is why using Steamwatch is still a good idea.

I think my plan turns over the night before... otherwise I'll HAVE to buy another data pack! lol
