Thread: WoW 4.0.1 patch online

Well here it is - after the extended 14 hour downtime for patching the servers 4.0.1 patch which brings in quite a few new changes for pretty much all classes of any levels.

Justice point system. Retreived from Justice Point - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
When players first log in after patch the number of Justice Points they have will be calculated as follows:
JP = 11.58 * (EoT + EoF)
where:
JP = the number of Justice Points;
EoT = the number of Emblems of Triumph;
EoF = the number of Emblems of Frost.

Justice points replace the Emblems of Frost and Emblems of Triumph. I do believe for a major peice of T10 will cost 1100 points and a minor will cost 600. (so it looks like I will be immediately getting another 3 or 4 pieces of T10 from my previously accumulated Triumph Emblems)

Also he following items are immediately converted to gold:

Emblem of Heroism = 5.5 gold each
Emblem of Valor = 5.5 gold each
Emblem of Conquest = 5.5 gold each
Badge of Justice = 1.833 gold each

Also your new Honor Points total will be the sum of the following amounts:

Old Honor * 0.024
Old Arena Points * 0.85
Battleground Mark of Honor * 2.976
Wintergrasp Mark of Honor * 19.08
Stone Keeper Shard * 1.6
Venture Coin * 3
Spirit Shard * 1

So big changes all around for the latest patch.

You can get the patches from Internode and also Bigpond (probably others but you can find them also). Place the files in the updates folder in your wow directory, run the background downloader to check the file integrity, start wow and it will download another small patch/exe to extract those files.

Overall; I really like the patch so far.
The change to focus on my hunter has proved...interesting so far.

wow last nite was a noobtasticly good time, pvp was like 'hmmm what order do my buttons go in now..' change... some1 runs past im afk 'hmmm yer that will work..' 'o.k let try this..' 'oh wait im dead', respawn 'hey hey' pwn some ppl 'woot.. i wonder' another 5mins afking moving shit around... and i only did this with my hunter and mage.. but crap that took half a night. its still early days and ppl will QQ moar and things will be curved down so everything fair i guess.

My rotation as prot pally is real fucked up now. Almost have time to put excorsism on the boss .

Yeah hunters have shot weaving again - and steady shot is sooo much more important.

annnnddd they have already nerfed fire mages yet again... hate blizzard so much... they get us fire mages hopes up then dash them on the jagged rocks of reality like a paper doll...
