Thread: Article: Black Prophecy beta launches in the USA

I know a coupe of you are playing it -thoughts? I've just got signed up on the USA beta server using a VPN and it looks to have hugely high production values from an engine perspective. It's a good looking game!

Won't have time to play any more tonight, but it seems really promising.

So far I'm impressed. combat is very clean, though their version of the space sim 3d radar takes a little getting used to. Lag in PvE is all but unnoticeable. Some extra info about equipping gear to your ship would be handy, as it's somewhat ambiguous there.

On the whole, a decent game with very nice graphics for an MMO.

How did you register for the game,

I get "We're afraid you can't play this game in your location. Sorry."

Doesit work if you use a proxy to register and no proxy to play?

I have a US VPN (few bucks a month) which I use for Steam purchaes, Netflix, and things like this.

I just connected to that to register and logon to the game server.

dont even need the vpn to logon to the game, just to create your account.

Ah, awesome. That's convenient.

Just plugged in my flight stick. Space combat is a hoot.

what's the ping like for you (or pref. any of the other darwinites) on the US server? can check by mousing over the signal strength icon at bottom right of screen.

i get 387 to the UK servers

Pinging 223ms to the US server.

nice, so probably at least 260 from here then.
