or yer and usally a good idea to have 4 friends with you. You can also get a party but clicking on the big totem outside the entrance this could take some time get you some weird combination depending on server conditions. or just spam the LFG channel.

When you walk through the shimering gateway you start the instance for you and your party or if your party is in there already you join them. There is about 5 or 6 quests intotal for RFC
you enter/start instances by walking through the big portals.
There are a number of tricks and tips to using instances. Such as resetting them.
The general way it works:
You have a party of 5 or more people.
The instance is created for your party as soon as the first person in that party, walks through the instance portal.
Once the instance is cleared of mobs (they do respawn but it takes 30mins-1hr), you can reset it by leaving, reforming the party under a new leader and re-entering. This resets the instance and you can run it again (this isnt garaunteed though. It works most of the time but sometimes it doesnt).
The thing i found that works 99% of the time is this. The leader who creates the party must enter the instance first. When you want to reset it, the leader kicks everyone from the party, who then have 30seconds to exit the instance before they get ported back to town. They leave the instance before the 30seconds expires, then the leader leaves last. This seems to disassociate the other party members with the instance, allowing them to reset it easily.
Keep in mind, you can only enter 5 'new' instances per hour.
Raid instances are a bit different. Rinstances such as MC actually save you to the instance as soon as the first boss dies, which assigns you a RaidID. This basically means that if you try to enter MC with a different party, you will be ported to the raid instance you were saved too, not the one that the new raid has entered. Its basically to stop players farming the instance for epics. The RaidID sticks to you until the lock-out clears (7days?) or until server maintanence. This might be out of date though, because they have changed the scheduling of raid lock outs and shit, since i stopped playing.

RaidID's have scheduled reset times now. ie, MC always resets at the same time on the same day, regardless of when you started it.
LOL that would suck if you was nearly at the end![]()
