Zenimax Media has announced The Elder Scrolls Online, taking the popularise franchise into the genre of massively multiplayer for the first time ever. Two months ahead of the likely Australian release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, EB Games has begun importing and selling the game throughout their network of bricks and mortar stores, as well as on their website where stock is still available. Sony's forthcoming free to play massively multiplayer first person shooter, PlanetSide 2, is now taking applications for beta participation. Blizzard has just revealed a new account that removes time limitations on their typical 'trial'. Instead, new accounts will allow unrestricted access all the way up to level 20 before a subscription is required. Thereafter, you'll need to spend $20 for the full gaming which includes the Burning Crusade expansion, and raises your level cap to 70. When I look at Star Wars: The Old Republic, I think "yeah, they can have my money." That was until I found out that the game will be an exclusive on EA's new digital distribution platform; Origin.
