  • Aussie Starcraft champ in Global Starcraft League

    Brisbane-based Australian Starcraft 2 champ Andrew Pender (aka mOOnGLade) will be appearing in the Global Starcraft League Code A series tomorrow (Friday) night. It will be the first time an Australian has appeared in the GSL which is not only the biggest Starcraft 2 tournament going around, it's also the biggest e-sports tournament in the world with the purse for coming out on top during last year's GSL open series nudging US$90,000.


    The Aussie Zerg maestro will be up against Korean Terran player ZeNEXJJUN. If he's successful in his Code A series campaign he'll be eligible to play in an up-and-down match at the end of the tournament and break into the coveted Code S series for the next season and play alongside the best players in the world for a shot a the main prize of US$45,000.

    Going by the name 'GLaDe' on the SEA server he has been monumental in his tournament achievements, including prized placings in both TransTasman Championships, the Mar Sara Trials, WD PSI Storm 2010 as well as some LANS and smaller tournaments.

    The standard quality stream is free to watch but if you love your Starcraft you can buy the premium package for US$10 and get access to the high quality stream of the season's worth of games and access to VODs for all games in the tournament if you miss any.
