ID:	597112The team behind the fantastic Humble Indie Bundles has just launched their latest bundle: The Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle. This bundle differs from the previous ones in that you pay what you want for only the one game - Frozen Synapse. The kicker here though, is that if you pay more than the average price (currently $4.02 USD for Windows) for Frozen Synapse, they will throw a copy of the Frozenbyte Bundle at you for free.

The Frozenbyte Bundle includes the following:
    • Trine (a fantastic side-scroller adventure game)
    • Shadowgrounds (a fun co-op isometric top-down Sci-fi adventure game)
    • Shadowgrounds: Survivor (sequel to the above)
    • Jack Claw (protoype for... *strange* game that Frozenbyte cancelled development of)
    • Splot pre-order (side-scroller in a similar vein to Super Meat Boy)

If you're on the fence with this one, Frozen Synapse is a very cool game. It's a turn-based action game which allows you to take your turn, go off and do other things; then load the game up a day later to view your oponent's turn and take another turn of your own.

All of the games in the Humble Bundles come with Steam keys so you can add them to your Steam libraries. Incidentally, Frozen Synapse is currently $24.99 on Steam.

Update (2/10/2011): The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle has just been updated to include Trauma - a point-and-click adventure game. If you already bought the Bundle, you should already have an email detailing how to get a hold of this.

Update (6/10/2011): Yet another update has hit the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle. This time the addition is the addictive faux chemistry game Space Chem. Unleash that inner chemistry geek!

Here's a video of my first win in Frozen Synapse (because the loss was just too embarrassing for words):

  • Mass Effect 3 review
    by cmdr_lynchie
The first two instalments of the Mass Effect series are widely considered to be some of the best games ever made. Certainly they rank among the greatest RPGs. With the outstanding quality of their story telling, and their stunning audio and visuals, they set the bar so high for the third instalment that some began to wonder if disappointment was inevitable. Thankfully the doubters have been proven wrong, as with Mass Effect 3 Bioware has not only cleared the bar, but they raised it several not...
