ID:	597110Minecraft is already doing a roaring trade on Sony's Xperia Play, but that exclusivity is about to wind up. Mojang has sent word that their immensely popular indie adventure-builder title will be made available on all Android devices on September 29. Yes, today! Or likely tomorrow morning for us Australians due to the time difference.

Minecraft Pocket addition is said to play very close to the PC version of the game, however it will not receive every update that the PC version gets. Rather it will be patched with features that "make sense" for mobile touch-screen devices.

If you own an iOS device such as the iPhone or iPad, rest assured you have not been forgotten. The game has indeed been confirmed for a release on the platform, however as yet no date has been specified.

okay so the xperia x10 has been derided as one of the worst of the last gen android phones due to an outdated version of android (updated to 2.3 in june) and missing hardware options (multi-touch that was hacked in via SOFTWARE in february). But fuck me if it doesn't play Minecraft Pocket Edition almost flawlessly. colour me impressed. the only issue i have had is the one relating to how multitouch was added to these phones - if your fingers cross the midway point of the phone's screen while both are in use, it can invert which finger is doing what - in MC, this sometimes leads to you selecting a new block instead of placing the one you had. now all the game needs is a toggle crouch and/or fly option.

A while ago we reported on the rumored PlayStation branded Sony Ericsson phone, complete with a concept image. Well it turns out that was scarily accurate. Now though, we also have some specs for you: inside you will find a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 512MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.

As previously disclosed, the device is said to run Android 3.0 and sport a unique Sony Marketplace allowing you to buy and download games, which may or may not be the same system and titles you can download for the PSP Go. This is strictly still a prototype model, but that's where we're at. And it's easily the most exciting mobile phone, handheld games system hybrid in, well, ever....
