ID:	596457 This weekend the next round of MLG Pro gets underway in Washington DC. Games covered include Halo 3, Tekken and WoW. Thankfully, despite being played on the other side of the planet they start the first day late in the afternoon (their time) which means we have a chance to watch a few matches at a somewhat reasonable hour.

According to the schedule, the StarCraft II comp kicks off at 7am Darwin / 8am Adelaide on Saturday, 16th October.

Unfortunately day two is a different story with the SC2 play starting at 12.30am Darwin / 1.30am Adelaide on Sunday, 17th October. The final match should be held at around 7am / 8am Sunday morning.

When I watched the last round held in Raleigh back in August there was a free SD stream that was very watchable.

There'll be some top players there like HuK, Kiwikaki, CauthonLuck, drewbie, ThisIsJimmy, LZGamer and Pain User. IdrA is even coming all the way from Korea to compete.

Unfortunately I'll miss this one because I'll be at the MotoGP on Phillip Island, but that doesn't mean you guys should miss out!

Haven't played a lot of SC2 lately, but I'll be keen to have a look at this.

  • CS:GO gets a substantial content update
    by rec
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta impressions
    by rec
I've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....

Who here is looking forward to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? Considering that this community's roots were founded in the early betas of Counter-Strike, I'd hope at least a few of you still have an interest! The next lot of CS:GO beta keys will be given away based on the results of a new Steam survey and participant selections will be made over coming months.
