  • 2010 GOMtv Starcraft II Open Season 2 - tune in!

    The round of 64 for season 2 of the GOMtv Starcraft 2 Open kicks off this evening in South Korea. This is the biggest SC2 comp in the world, if not the biggest comp in all of e-sports considering that first prize is a massive US$85,000.


    Tonight's schedule features 5 matches with some of the best SC2 players in the world, including the winner of season 1: Fruit Dealer. English commentary is provided by Artosis and Tasteless (the latter of whom is the brother of Day9) and they're probably the best commentators out there. If you'd previously only heard HDStarcraft or Husky on Youtube then wait until you see these guys.

    In order to watch get along to http://www.gomtv.net to register your free account and download and install their GOMtv player (also free and no dodgy stuff in with it).

    Perhaps best of all is that because the tournament takes place in South Korea it makes for very convenient viewing times for those of us in Australia. The broadcast begins tonight from 7.30pm Darwin / 8.30pm Adelaide / 9pm EST.

  • CS:GO gets a substantial content update

    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....
