  • Diablo 3 details pour in

Plenty of information had been leaked prior to an NDA being officially lifted, and now it has been. The goss is legit and it's in the wild, already stirring up a lot of healthy anticipation and argument. Of particular note is a real money auction house and a ten character limit on accounts.

Blizzard executive VP Rob Pardo has defnded some backlash regarding the real money auction system, saying "people were going to do it anyway, and this way it's secure."

Here's some more snippets of info, and a gameplay trailer to whet your appetite...
    • There are limitations to how the AH can be used. For example, you can't just take money out of your battle.net account whenever.
    • 6 active skills, 3 passive skills.
    • Skill and trait points were removed.
    • Stash is large. Larger than LoD's and has 5 pages, that you can purchase for gold.
    • Cauldron of Jordan: Allows you to sell items from battle.
    • Nephalem Cube: Salvages items.
    • Stone of Recall: D3's version of a hearthstone.
    • Each class has around 20 skills and 15 passives.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta impressions
    by rec
I've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....
