ID:	596921Forum goer Mepm broke the news to GU residents that Borderlands 2 had been announced last week, and now we have a bunch of new details and the news that it will be streamed live from the forthcoming CamesCom convention. Generating the most excitement is that AI has been hugely improved and offer 'interactive dialogue'.

Bandits will carry class-specific weapons, but the original game's arsenal will be scrapped to make room for a new one. Additionally, new characters will be stealing the show, while those from Borderlands will be making an unplayable return in the sequel.

As for this GamesCom streaming jazz; a live demonstration of Borderlands 2 will be made available on 2K Games' official uStream channel, featuring Gearbox staff who plan to answer questions from fans with a look at the game itself. You can ask those question on Twitter via @2KGames or @GearboxSoftware. The stream airs at 8:00 Pacific Time on August 19th - that's 1:00 Australian Eastern Standard time on Saturday, August 20th.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta impressions

I've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....

Who here is looking forward to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? Considering that this community's roots were founded in the early betas of Counter-Strike, I'd hope at least a few of you still have an interest! The next lot of CS:GO beta keys will be given away based on the results of a new Steam survey and participant selections will be made over coming months.
