ID:	597285Fancy some Spinfuser disc launching, jetpack flag capping Tribes: Ascend action, but haven't been selected for the closed beta quite yet? Thanks to the game's developer, Hi-Rez Studios, we've got 100 keys to give away that will grant you instant access to the highly anticipated sci-fi shooter. How do you put yourself in the running? It's very simple: just follow @gamersunder on Twitter!

Thousands of you already keep up to date with GU on our Facebook page, but we've mostly neglected building a follower base on Twitter and we'd like that to change. Follow us on Twitter prior to December 13, 2011 to be eligible for selection. The randomly chosen 100 winners will be sent a direct message on Twitter with their Tribes: Ascend beta key on December 14.

I've personally been giving this latest instalment of Tribes a good ol' romp over the past few days and have been thoroughly impressed. It's resoundingly Tribes and an immensely refreshing experience after so many recent releases being of real-world military theme. I'd almost forgotten the joys of grabbing a flag and 'skiiing' down a mountain at 150km/h, with enemies in hot pursuit and fire landing at my feet.

Don't take my word for it though, PC Gamer have said Tribes: Ascend is "one of the best-looking, best feeling shooters of the year. After years of grounded military FPSes, jetpacking in an open expanse is like being sprung from a leash." Neowin.net got excited too, proclaiming that "this is the Tribes game that we have been waiting 13 years to play." Examiner agreed, saying Tribes: Ascend "looks to be the resurrection Tribes fans have been waiting for."

While you wait to see if you've won a key, here's a new trailer titled "Focus" showing off some of Tribe's juiciest moments:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

I've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....
