Origin Holiday Deals begin, 30% off Battlefield 3
Australia's Origin store is now running a holiday sale, halving the price of digitally distributed games, excluding the game you really want. Battlefield 3 is only 30% off making it $56. There are some good deals though, Dead Space 2 is only $20, compared to the $35 sale price on Steam. However if you buy Dead Space 2 on Steam using a US VPN you can pick it up for just $10.

Harvey Norman opens "Direct Import" online shop for games
Not too long ago Kogan began selling grey-market Apple, Samsung, Canon and Nikon products at far cheaper prices than what you would find in Australian stores, online or bricks-and-mortar. JB HI-FI then went on to launch their "Direct Import" store online for digital SLR camera products, citing inflated prices by Australian suppliers as the reason.
Harvey Norman is the next in line to send a strong message about pricing in Australia, with Gerry Harvey hypocritically announcing www.h... -

Skyrim mod enables online co-op
I enjoyed Morrowind, Oblivion and indeed Skyrim. But there are few games that leave me feeling like it wouldn't have been better if I had a friend along for the ride. I'm not the only one with that thought, but "AwpSoLeet" is the one with the enthusiasm and talent to make it a reality. Skyrim Online, currently in alpha stages of development, adds co-op to the game and supports voice chat! We've embedded a video which may illustrate why you might want to wait for a beta release, but there's rea...

by recCounter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG....

by recI've been shooting some face in the CS:GO beta for the first time this evening, and there's quite a bit to talk about. I should preface this impressions article with the note that while I used to play at a national level, it has been years since I've delved into any CS in any serious capacity. I'm sure there will be a number of current day elitists out there who disagree with my opinions, but I'm not claiming this as gospel, so append as much or as little weight to these opinions as you care to....
