We've seen high demand for space on our Bad Company 2 servers since the launch of the game - often being full all the way through any given night. Without reserve slots working as intended at this stage, it has been frustrating getting a spot at times.

Community member Korny has made a hefty contribution, deciding to replace that hurt with an extra 32 chances of playing, in the form of a third Gamers-Underground.com server! At the moment it's setup as Conquest, but if there's an overwhelming vote for Rush we'll happily change it.

It's now listed in the website header, where you can keep an eye on who's playing in which server. And because #3 won't be in anyone's favorites or history lists quite yet, it's probably the one to go to if you're heading in with a big crew. GLHF!...

It took a couple days, but the recently talked about Bad Company 2 patch has finally been rolled out to Steam users. The patch addresses a heap of minor bugs most of us have never noticed, and doesn't move to improve the user interface or fix any of the gameplay issues people are having. Enjoy!...

It's out, and I'd have already purchased it if it weren't for the $79.99 USD Steam price. Reviews across the world are delivering scores between 80 and low 90's. It looks like one to get, be it now, or when on sale if you're the patient...

In an article at IGN, we've received the promise that DICE is "definitely" committed to supporting Bad Company 2, for a long time. The key, of course, being a long time. This is a refreshing statement, given the growing trend of disregarding a predecessor to make way for its sometimes less popular sequel. 3DTV Play is officially on the way from Nvidia. It's a software package that upgrades HDMI-equipped Nvidia graphics cards with support for forthcoming stereoscopic 3D televisions. Specifically, what it means is that your Nvidia graphics card HDMI port will now be HDMI 1.4 - the new industry standard for 3D TV signals......

Marathon is relatively easy to forget amidst other classic shooters such as Wolfenstein and Doom, but it was a landmark title that continues to lead a massive following. Rumors surfaced in 2007 of Bungie reviving the title and pushing forward with a modern remake, yet not much more has been said since. Until now, that is. Bungie have re-registered the Marathon trademark, as of today. Keep your eyes and ears peeled, as we might just get a related announcement sometime this year....

I'm hardly a knowledge in the realm of MUDs or RPGs, and would probably still strongly dislike fantasy if it wasn't for Neverwinter Nights and The Lord of The Rings film adaptations. So, with my inexperience and shallow understanding in mind, I may be completely off the mark when I say inXile Entertainment's new IP looks freaking awesome - but I'm saying it anyway......

Anyway, as cool as it is to have a shirt with the GU logo on it, I'm sure you would love to see a bigger range to choose from. This is where you, the community, come into it. I'm after ideas for interesting and hopefully unique ideas. Examples might be similar to some of the nifty gaming shirts seen around the web, such as the evolution of man meeting an arcade cabinet or the "down, corner, right + punch" Hadouken Street Fighter shirts. How about a deformation of the GU logo - similar to what Blues News once did with their site logo on a regular basis?

It could simply be a witty games related slogan, or something that represents what is quintessentially Gamers-Underground.com for you. Perhaps a picture of Hitler with Paladin's face super-imposed (our self-appointed Spell-Nazi), or that decade-old photo of me with a bowl cut gone wrong that never seems to disappear.

You can suggest ideas in the comments of this article or a private message to me, or if you're feeling especially creative you can provide artwork for the print. The best suggestions will become purchasable items in the GU store - and if your idea gets in, you get a shirt featuring it for free. Additionally, the very best will also have a Steam game of their choice gifted to them.

I remember spending countless hours playing at Hindley Street arcades in Adelaide, long gone thanks to modern consoles and broadband internet (oh, and crime). Downtown, Timezone Meridian, Twilight Zone, The Tilt. One of my favourite games was NBA JAM, which etched phrases such as "from downtown" and "he's on fire" into my mind forever. Well, for those who didn't know, the classic title has been revitalised and is on its way to a re-release.
