More Australian retailers to support R18+ movement

Viva La Revolution! How do we say that in Aussie? GAME and Gametraders recently spoke to GameSpot AU about their new and public support for a ratings system revamp, which EB Games have been promoting as of late. They're doing so with eyes wide open, fully expecting and being able to adhere to strict requirements for the sale of R18+ games. This would likely include a dedicated area for these titles, off-limits to minors, and have the games stored in blank cases....

  • World of Warcraft going nowhere fast

World of Warcraft going nowhere fast

It seems the glory days of World of Warcraft's growth are well and truly behind us. Perhaps soon enough there'll be genuine room for a contender - which might just be whatever the next MMO Blizzard is working on. In December of 2008, the game had 11.5 million subscribers. Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime paints a picture of stagnation, telling that today’s numbers are virtually unchanged......

Just jump onto the Veterans website using your EA account, the same login details you use for Bad Company 2, and start adding those classic titles......

FIFA 11 aims to end rage-quitting

Rage-quitting is the bane of many a FIFA player's existence. The minute you're up is the minute your competitor quits the game. It seems there is light at the end of the tunnel, though. EA Canada's Simon Humber told Eurogamer that EA is looking to add a reward system to FIFA 11 that would encourage players to finish matches, win or lose. Hallelujah.

  • Day-one DLC for Bad Company 2

Day-one DLC for Bad Company 2

It's a woeful path that developers have begun to take; creating downloadable content for the game prior to it going gold, and then often charging an additional amount for it - when it could have been included with the game's release.

It seems our beloved Battlefield: Bad Company 2 may not be any holier, but whether BC2's newly announced DLC will be free or paid has not been revealed. The nifty part of this news though, is that PC may be graced with the opportunity partake if we wish......

  • Mass Effect 3 review
    cmdr_lynchie
The first two instalments of the Mass Effect series are widely considered to be some of the best games ever made. Certainly they rank among the greatest RPGs. With the outstanding quality of their story telling, and their stunning audio and visuals, they set the bar so high for the third instalment that some began to wonder if disappointment was inevitable. Thankfully the doubters have been proven wrong, as with Mass Effect 3 Bioware has not only cleared the bar, but they raised it several notches before doing so. The game is not without its problems. There are numerous visual glitches, importing character appearance from Mass Effect 2 saves doesn't work, one of the quest lines in the 0-day DLC crashes the game (though can be completed with a bit of well timed button mashing), and like all Bioware titles...
