    News.com.au is reporting that "Splinter Cell Evolution launched", and backfired. Which is of course is Splinter Cell: Conviction to journalists without the faintest actual interest in the games industry. The backfiring part is quite correct however, but looking at the scenario it could have never not have. Genius marketers hired to handle the launch of this Ubisoft title thought it would be a good idea to have an actor dress up as Sam Fisher and storm a pub with a fake pistol......

    Xbox 360 owners are currently playing Splinter Cell: Conviction. In 10 days, PC gamers will be too. For the longest time, Conviction has been dubbed an Xbox 360 exclusive in the console world. Last month however, a Ubisoft Montreal developer listed a PlayStation 3 version of the title on his resume. And now, you can search Ubisoft support topics for a PS3 version of Conviction too......

    Debut Gears of War 3 trailer

    The first Gears of War 3 trailer was aired on America's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon talk show just hours ago. Titled "Ashes to Ashes", the trailer plays out to "Heron Blue" by Sun Kil Moon while Marcus Fenix and a bearded Dominic Santiago battle it against "crazy tentacle monsters that can mutate while you're fighting them". At least, that's how Epic's Cliff Bleszinki described the new Locust.....

    Today we receive information on Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. We had already learned that the game will feature 4 player co-op, but adding to that it has been revealed that you can play through it "from the unique perspectives of a high-level bodyguard, an engineer, a civilian and more." Multiplayer will support 8 vs. 8 adversarial matches, combining a total of 4 unique abilities as well as drones.....

    For anyone interested in bargain game titles without ordering online, JB Hi-Fi are now selling parallel import games on shelves.

    They're not stocked on the same shelves as other games however, instead you'll find them on their own stand, so keep your eyes peeled or ask a staff members where you should be looking.
