Straight out of GamesCom 2011 is this new Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception trailer, and it's every bit as awesome as an Uncharted fan would hope for. Seen during Sony's press conference, Naughty Dog get Drake climbing moving planes, falling out of them, while looking handsome doing it. James Bond eat your heart out; bring on November.

PlayStation 4 may surface as early as 2012
The last round of speculation and rumour suggested a 2014 release for the PlayStation 4. However a new Digi Times Report claims Sony's Taiwan-based partners, Foxconn and Pegatron Technology, will begin production of the PS4 at the end of 2011 - ready for a 2012 release. Not only that, but it is said that the console is set to feature movement-based controls, not dissimilar to Microsoft's Kinect.

Twisted Metal gameplay from E3 2011
I've been quietly skeptical about the potential quality and success of the Twisted Metal reboot since its announcement. That was until I saw some gameplay from E3 2011. The Indie development scene as well as mobile gaming boom have delivered refreshing reminders that games can still just be "fun" without needing to be deep or complex - and Twisted Metal looks to hit the spot. Embedded is some gameplay and an interview with creator; David Jaffe... -

Just Cause dev: next Xbox or PlayStation by 2014
Following on from last week's rumours about the next Microsoft Xbox being shown at E3 2012 is more information, this time from the development studio of Just Cause. They're currently working on an "unannounced AAA title", targeted for release in 2014. Why 2014? David Grijns told Edge: "We have some intelligence to go on that, by early 2014, we're pretty sure there'll be at least one next-generation console on the market."... -

Battlefield 3 gets a showing on the PS3
You've seen this Battlefield 3 sequence before, but this time it's played on the PlayStation 3, live with Jimmy Fallon. Some gamers aren't happy about it not looking as good as the PC version, but it is a PS3 after all. Johan Andersson, a rendering architect working on the Frostbite engine, retorted with a Tweet: "why would anyone expect that console would look the same as PC? if that was the case we would have failed with the PC version."...
