ID:	602166 It has been rumored that Mass Effect 2 might make its way to the PlayStation 3. Despite BioWare's previous denial, they've let the cat out of the bag at Germany's GamesCom with the announcement that Mass Effect 2 will see a PlayStation 3 release in January of 2011.

Not only will PlayStation 3 owners get a chance to play one of the best single player role playing games ever created, but BioWare's Muzyka says "one of the things we're doing is that we're bringing a lot of the post-release downloadable content and will integrate it into the experience, so that PS3 fans can check that out and play it." I guess this means you expect not to have to worry about buying or downloading currently available ME2 DLC. Bonus.

And because many PlayStation 3 owners won't have played the original, a introductory sequence will be included to fill them in on the proceedings of the original. Muzyka explains that "It'll be something that provides a good introduction and provides a lot of the back-story and introduces you well to the story-arc, and kind of makes you feel like you're part of it all. And then you can jump right into the action in Mass Effect 2."
