Blizzard tend to develop the type of games that would be very, very hard to make work on a console. They tried with StarCraft on the Nintendo 64, which failed, and haven't bothered with World of Warcraft - despite the revenue potential. They are however, for the first time since the cancelled StarCraft: Ghost, looking at moving back into the console space - with Diablo 3.
Blizzard COO, John Sams, stated last year that the major console manufacturers had made "some pretty compelling arguments" for a Diablo 3 port. It has now come to light that Blizzard has listed three new console openings for the Diablo 3 team. These include a lead designer, lead programmer and senior producer. They're specific in saying that they're merely "exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles", so there's no guarantee it will eventuate, but it's looking mighty promising.
