  • Next Xbox to be shown at E3 2012?

    Microsoft XboxVideoGamer.com is reporting that Microsoft is planning to announce the successor to the Xbox 360 at next year's E3, and Crytek has already commenced work on the development of a TimeSplitters game for the next generation of consoles. While specifications have not been revealed, Crytek is said to be using Microsoft's DirectX 11 which features tessellation, multithreaded rendering and compute shaders.


    The information at hand was supposedly detailed to VideoGamer.com by a trusted source at Crytek, who also stated that TimeSplitters 4 is at a stage where it is being demonstrated on CryEngine 3 internally, and had even been shown to private audiences at E3 2011.

      cool, naming their console after a classic Commodore 64 game. Probably about the level of graphics it'll be capable of compared to the PCs built next year too.

      kind of an obvious thing really, next year being 2012 would make the console out probably 2013 - would expct a new one out by then anyway.

    Partnering with Virgin Gaming, EA have revealed a $1,600,000 "Worldwide Conquest" cash prize tournament for their forthcoming first-person-shoot epic, Battlefield 3.   • F1 2011 dev diary covers safety car, DRS, KERS

    I wasn't too sure about an F1 2011 purchase, with concerns about how different or how much of an improvement it could be over 2010. But, the demonstration of new feature inclusions such as DRS, KERS and the safety car have secured my $50. This final video developer diary for F1 2011 features Senior Producer Paul Jeal and Chief Games Designer Stephen Hood, talking about those aforementioned season updates.

    F1 2011 will be available on Steam come September 22nd.
