Ahem! Consumer Affairs Is Not Your Personal Lacky.

Quote from Aegis;405700: better than that, go read the Bastard Operator From Hell - many of his wise nuggets have been deployed to great effect. Now that's a read that can go on for some time. Is it still around?

Shaving

Proraso lasts forever, I think it actually regenerates over time. I had the same tube for over seven months, I gave it away as I had too much stuff but summer is coming on so I got another tube. Luckily some of the IGA's down here sell it cheap.

Shaving

Wally have you run out of Proraso in three months?

Arlington is good. Voskhods are probably one of the best blades going atm. Just started working through some Eton College and a TOBS Sandalwood. Soaps I am using Marlborough, Nathan at Mensbiz chucked me a whole puck to try out.

TV Shows Worth Watching

Quote from CyphiX;399736: Ordered me the Luxury Starter Kit with the Merkur Progress and Taylor's Rose shaving cream. I buggered up my order with the wrong details which also ended up doubling my order but they had awesomely quick responses to my email and refunded my first order straight away, bloody impressed with…

Shaving

I still haven't bothered with an album block. I use proraso gel for any nicks but its been ages since I cut myself. I picked up a nice Merkur Progress yesterday so I'm keen to try some of the dud blades in it just to see if there is any hope for a Derby blade or if I should chuck them. Ratty it sounds like you have …

Gillette black platinums ftw. They are prob the best in that range. Astra platinums are good too. sent from my HTC Sensation using Tapatalk

Glycerine soaps like Col Conk are ok but to get nice slickness you want something tallow based like Cells or Mitchells Wool Fat. The slickness helps the blade glide and can make all the difference between a good shave and a great shave. sent from my XOOM using Tapatalk

Don't bother with the whole brush stand thing. There is no evidence at all to support that a brush stand makes any difference whatsoever. I have a truefitt and hill badger and a semogue 830 boar and neither get hung upside down or get any special treatment. Spend money on a brush stand if you want, makes no differen…

Quote from Jay;398858: Forgot to mention, took about 3 hours from order placed to status being shipped. Yeah they're on the ball with shipping over there. My last order was placed around 11PM 22nd July, it was shipped the next day and should be here on Monday. When you're ready to try some different blades give me a…

Quote from Jay;398745: Based on reading through forums, thinking of getting: - Merkur 34c HD - Muhle Pure Badger Black Shave Brush Comments, and would appareciate any suggestions on which blades and shaving cream to pick. In the end I might just go screwit and get the starter kit. :p If you want a recommendation for…

Boar brush for soap. Badger for cream. Use a synthetic brush for cleaning your keyboard. If you want some decent advice from an Aussie forum, join Paste and Cut. Pretty helpful and not at all full of yanks like on B&B.

Quote from Jay;398732: So much reading to do. Kit looks good but also so tempted to pick out individual items from forum recommendations. If you want some advice send me a pm; I'm happy to make some recommendations. sent from my HTC Sensation using Tapatalk

Shaving.ie in Ireland is great, I bought most of my startup gear from them. MensBiz is good but as Minorci said a little expensive, but if you join paste and cut forum you get a discount. Connaught Shaving is good - also UK based and they have an ebay shop too Those are the three I have used. I priced up my starter …

Wtf Kizza?

What a fucking ridiculous tattoo.

Taco Bell's beef is actually only 36% beef. Yikes.

Quite right, Harbinger. Grammar is also important. English motherfuckers, use it. This suggests English people should use "it". Whereas, had you used a little punctuation - which, with your clear intelligence you should be capable of - it would have read "English, motherfuckers; use it". A completely different meani…
