This morning I woke up to find my machine sitting at POST with an error message informing me that my SSD was undetectable.
After a reboot, it still wasn't working. I powered down completely and the machine booted fine.
I was informed by a friend that the shipped firmware version had a known bug. After approximately 5k hours, it would 'die' and then 'die' every hour after that. Temporarily working after a complete power cycle.
Anyway, long story short, if you have a Crucial CT064M4SSD2 with Firmware version 0002, be sure to update it.
