  • Best ear-buds (or IEMs) for EDM Music

    As per title.

I'm looking for recommendations on a good pair of ear-buds (with silicone tip for sound containment) that suit EDM music.
I bought a pair of Sennheiser's (the model number eludes me) recently; and while they aren't bad, the bass is really lacking in them.

I listen to a bit of Dubstep and Hard Style (when not listening to metal), so they need strong but clean bass and nice mid-range with decent top end.

I've done a bit of google-fu; but I'd prefer a recommendation from audiophiles I know and trust

Looking to spend anywhere up to the $100AUD mark.

These sounded pretty good back when I had them HiFiMan: RE0 | Headphonic: Australian Headphone Specialists: Buy Etymotic, Alessandro, Audio Technica, Ultimate Ears, Talisman, Meier Audio and more but they break easily . They used to be over $100.

Anything on that website that's in your price range and has recommended on it would probably be good.

    These look nice

Thanks Tachi. Those Audiofly ones seem good. I wish I could walk into an electronics store and try a few pairs before I buy them.

Are you in the UK like your location says, surely there would be headphone stores there.

If you are in Darwin then lol just don't get bashed by some drunks getting to the shops

I am pretty sure the above website will let you return them if you don't like them.

Yeah I am in Birmingham. There's literally hundreds of electronics and audio type stores about; but they don't let you try ear-buds before buying them because of the whole hygiene thing.

I could always try returning them if they don't turn out well.

HiFiMan RE0 are exceptional value. I own a pair and I haven't heard anything better for the price.

Just be aware that the ear buds are widely known to break in half, you can simply glue them back together though.

Might be more of a problem in hotter weather though.
