First of all, a really big thanks to all those who put the effort in to make this one happen, and Xaine especially for supplying us with the venue, and Papadom for putting their time in to practically set the whole place up prior to the crowd arriving.
The night was a lot of fun, and friendly with everybody getting along with everybody else, and only one power issue (well two if you count the blackout, but it was more or less the cause of the second issue).
Congrats go to Ratty who won the Flatout 2 Tournament by knockout. The Favourite was definantly Spirit though, who I must admit gave me a run for my money. Well done. A few things were learnt during this LAN regarding a Flatout tournament and will be changed for the next one as well... (while allowing me to enter. Should make it more fun!)
Ratty took home the prize of a (suprisingly good) MS Sidewinder mouse. Thanks go to Dragon XR and myself who sponsored the event out of our own pocket.
There was at the end, no winner for the most extreme case competition. After discussing it with the admins we decided there just wasn't enough competition. We'll be looking at trying again some day though, so remember to tidy your cables. :p
Also a reminder that next month on the 15th of March, we'll be having our AGM, where everybody is currently being invited to contribute where they'd like the DGA community to head. Unseen will be supplying details as they come for that.
Again, a big things to everybody who helped out during the night, and generally being a great bunch to game with. Next time will be a lot better again, and hopefully soon enough we can return to the glory days of Darwin LAN events. ^_^
