Holy shit, Rune, one of the greatest games of the last 10+ years has finally hit Steam! For the introductory price of $8 you get the main game plus the Halls of Valhalla multiplayer expansion. I've never played anything with a sword/axe/hammer/club fighting mechanic that comes anywhere near Rune.
Multiplayer is exceptional fun - what with slicing your opponent's sword arm off as he goes to take a swing. And! If he's not fast enough to get away, you can pick that arm up and either throw it at him, or club him to death with it. So damned epic.
Human Head have said they're watching how this goes to see if a Rune 2 will happen.
