You can do just that on February 1st at the "Super Ultimate Showcase" if you live in Sydney or are willing to make the trek. Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition trailer and release date

As far as the franchise goes, Street Fighter III remains the best in the series thus far as far as I'm concerned. So, unsurprisingly, I'm a little excited about the forthcoming Online Edition of Third Strike, which has now been scheduled for an August 24 release. It's the highest-budget download game from the studio working on it, and when you consider the feature list below that's not hard to believe.
    • GGPO Netcode
    • "Arcade-perfect" gameplay
    • New Trials mode
    • Hundreds of challenges
    • Enhanced

  • Super Street Fighter IV available now

Super Street Fighter IV available now

In 2009 the fighting genre was revitalised as a single game inspired a new generation of players and recaptured the last. There's no doubting the significance and brilliance of Capcom's Street Fighter IV, but what's surprising is that its latest iteration, Super Street Fighter IV, is being hailed as something even better.

SSFIV has a meta review average of over 90 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and after reading just a couple of the reviews it's not hard to see why. It's out today for $78 at EB Games, and the 'tournament manager' will be available for download on June 15th....

Capcom preparing for new Mega Man announcment

It wasn't mentioned in Capcom's Captivate 2010 showcase, where we saw the likes of Dead Rising 2, Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV, but the publisher has just trademarked "Mega Man Universe." The trademark is indeed classified computer game software, though no other details have been discovered......

Super Street Fighter IV to deliver arcade-style tournaments

One of the biggest disappoints with Street Fighter IV was the match-making options for online multiplayer. It seems Capcom have been listening, and are set to deliver a much needed and welcomed revamp with Super Street Fighter IV. They've dubbed it the 'tournament manager', and any player can host a tournament. You can even setup a console to host a tournament without participating in it......

Dead Rising 2 to feature online co-op

Capcom have dished out a ton of details regarding a few of their upcoming titles overnight. This includes Dead Rising 2, with a neat cinematic trailer and the news that we'll be able to bash, slash and lawn-mower zombies, together! The concept will revolve around an "in-game transceiver to call for assistance at any time" - basically a neat way to match-make or invite friends seamlessly. The game lands August 31 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC....

Marvel vs Capcom 3 on the way

Henaki of Team Spooky has written an article claiming that Marvel vs Capcom 3 is to be announced by Capcom in May of this year. Stray rumors like this about many games hit the web thick and fast, but the difference here is that Henaki is the same poster who leaked the entire Super Street Fighter IV roster last year, and got it right...

  • Street Fighter IV for iPhone revealed

Street Fighter IV for iPhone revealed

IGN have set fighting fans alight with anxious curiosity revealing an exclusive scoop on Street Fighter IV coming to the iPhone. But not the hardcore fighters, of course. They think the idea is kind of a bad joke.

There is some real promise, though. As the article explains, "this is no quickie, banged-out port. Capcom has taken months to come up with suitable controls for a platform with no physical buttons, employing a virtual pad and move buttons to recreate the arcade stick right on the touchscreen."...
