Yesterday we reported on a breaking story that EA Games had removed Crysis 2 from Steam, in an effort to muscle customers across to their own digital distribution platform; Origin. It turns out that's not exactly the case; apparently "Crytek has an agreement with another download service" which infringed upon a recently imposed set of Steam business terms, and resulted in the "expulsion" of Crysis 2 from Steam, EA told Giant Bomb....

VideoGamer.com is reporting that Microsoft is planning to announce the successor to the Xbox 360 at next year's E3, and Crytek has already commenced work on the development of a TimeSplitters game for the next generation of consoles. While specifications have not been revealed, Crytek is said to be using Microsoft's DirectX 11 which features tessellation, multithreaded rendering and compute shaders....

Fancy playing a military shooter inside the gorgeous CryENGINE 3, for free!? Too bad, unless you live in Asia! Crytek has revealed an upcoming multiplayer shooter titled Warface, it's PC-only, it's free-to-play, but it will only be available in Korea. Which is a shame, but it sounds truly intriguing, with a regularly updated PVE universe including "dramatic multiplayer co-op missions" as well as class based PVP. For those not down with MMO and RPG lingo, that's player-vs-environment and player-vs-player....

Well, now that's done and dusted and the recordings have begun to pour onto the web.....

Most gamers already thought the prospect of Crytek's CryEngine 3 was rather sweet.
