Eidos Montreal has Tweeted the news that we can expect Deus Ex: Human Revolution's first DLC expansion, The Missing Link, on October 18. If you own Fallout 3, you've almost certainly played through at least one or two of the downloadable content packages for the critically acclaimed first-person RPG. Unless of course you own it on Steam, but now you can grab them there too! Mass Effect 2's Kasumi DLC now available
Mass Effect 2's newest character, Kasumi, and her bundled mission is now available for purchase and download. If you're a PC user, head on over to Bioware's Mass Effect 2 DLC purchase page with your Bioware Social Network login to grab it for just shy of $12 AUD. Once purchased, you can download it from your Entitlements area. 360 users merely need to jump into the XBL Marketplace....

EA to start charging for 'long demos'
Just when we thought the industry giant was making a change for the better, we're told Electronic Arts want to start charging for demos - and then not discount the full game for purchasers of these demos. There's no denying that in mere months EA has improved its brand image dramatically - delivering high calibre titles and promising more, with a shift from quantity to quality. It seems though that they can't escape the trap of embarrassing, money-grabbing ideas quite yet.......

Many of us have already sunk in 20+ hours of Bad Company 2 since release. And many of us already have map preferences, likes and dislikes. Thankfully, the first round of downloadable content is on its way, in the form of a map pack! They'll be free using your VIP code provided with your newly purchased copy of BC2, and will be available on the 30th of March......

It's a woeful path that developers have begun to take; creating downloadable content for the game prior to it going gold, and then often charging an additional amount for it - when it could have been included with the game's release. It seems our beloved Battlefield: Bad Company 2 may not be any holier, but whether BC2's newly announced DLC will be free or paid has not been revealed. The nifty part of this news though, is that PC may be graced with the opportunity partake if we wish...... -
