Sure, we can't buy Syndicate in Australia upon the February 21 release, but you can import it - and it sure looks well worth the trouble. This latest excellent trailer is again scored by Nero so make sure you give it a watch. "With no government to question their intentions or actions, the three mega corporations - Eurocorp, Cayman Global, and Aspari - are at the forefront and Business is War," says EA.
I've spent the last three weeks getting married, going on a honeymoon, diving The Great Barrier Reef and getting The Bends. It seems a lot went on while I was gone, but rather than spam your RSS, Twitter and Facebook feeds with a dozen new articles, I thought a summary of those stories would be best, prior to business as usual.
It looks like we're stuck with another Origin exclusive for the third instalment of the massively popular Mass Effect franchise. Being released on March 8, BioWare has made the announcement that the game will be available through EA's Origin service and a number of third-party retailers, but due to "restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to deliver patches and other downloadable content" we won't see it on Steam.
"We are intent on providing Mass Effect to p...

Freddie Wong is at it again, this time for the boys over at EA Games and their blockbuster title Battlefield 3. We've already seen a slew of trailers for Battlefield 3 that include hit songs and live action, but it seems EA want to cover all bases and have employed the genius of FreddieW to bring a touch of comedy to their marketing effort.

Generals was perhaps the most impressive Command & Conquer title since the days of Red Alert, so it's fitting that a sequel to Generals was chosen for the franchise hand-over to BioWare Victory. Generals 2 is set for a PC release in 2013 and is powered by Battlefield 3's Frostbite 2.0 engine.
The official blurb sets the tone: "World leaders are mere seconds away from signing a peace treaty and bringing an end to a global war when a devastating terrorist attack rips through the conference, killing eve...
Battlefield 3 puts dent in Modern Warfare market share
I don't think there was any doubt in the mind of many shooter enthusiasts that Battlefield 3 was going to convert some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players, pinching some of Activision's profit margin. It appears that is the case, with EA's Peter Moore saying that while the latest Call of Duty continued the trend of breaking sales records, that doesn't mean Battlefield 3 missed out on nabbing some market share from the FPS giant.
"Ten million sold in and five million sold through doesn't come out of...
Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand was released for the PlayStation 3 a couple of days ago, while the rest of us on PC and Xbox 360 have to hold on just a wee bit longer - five days in fact. While we wait to play it first hand, DICE have produced a new trailer to watch which gives us a peak into the chaos we can anticipate on the re-imagined Wake Island.
EA has gone on a mad domain registering spree, grabbing over a dozen Command & Conquer URLs, all featuring the word "Alliances". Strangely though, previous major C&C releases have also been included in the names such as redalertalliances.com, generalsalliances.com and so-forth.
What does it all mean? I guess we'll have to wait for an announcement, which is rumoured to come on December 10 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, but in the meantime you can find the full list below.
