While I'm liking the sound of New Vegas, what with all of the interesting changes and all, I can't say this footage impressed me at all. Has this dampened your anticipation for the game as well...

There was much disappointment with Fallout 3's obvious lack of classic Fallout humor. Don't fret; it might well be back to roots for the upcoming New Vegas. PSM3 magazine tells a story of Obsidian taking dialogue and scripting to new heights.

Specifically, the mag explains after an extensive demonstration that it's "apparent that Obsidian are much more comfortable behind the keyboard than the team that made Fallout 3 and, before that, Oblivion. The scripting is wittier, the characters more distinct."...

Bethesda has announced that we'll see Fallout New Vegas before the end of year. They were also nice enough to deliver a teaser to get the hype machine rolling.
