Finally, Batman: Arkham City recieves its desperately needed PC patch via Steam auto-update, fixing the crippling DirectX 11 performance issues that most people with a relatively new video card have been expieriencing. The PC version of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City has been delayed another week, moving from November 18 to November 25 for PAL regions. North America can expect it a few days earlier on the 22nd. Don't worry, according to it's 96/100 rating on Metacritic, it's going to be well worth the wait....

As far as the franchise goes, Street Fighter III remains the best in the series thus far as far as I'm concerned. So, unsurprisingly, I'm a little excited about the forthcoming Online Edition of Third Strike, which has now been scheduled for an August 24 release. It's the highest-budget download game from the studio working on it, and when you consider the feature list below that's not hard to believe.

Mortal Kombat's reboot is looking mighty fine. Virgin Gaming has officially launched. But what is it? Quite simply, it's a console tournament platform, that allows you to compete for cash, points and prizes in an organised fashion. So, there is a new Mortal Kombat game on the way after all, despite that "Rebirth" trailer having nothing to do with it. This sequel is being developed by NetherRealm Studios (comprised of Midway alumni) and will be released on Q4 2010 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. You know what? It looks awesome....

No information on what exactly this is has been revealed. Is it an extended move trailer, or is it a fan-made short film? Neither, is what the murmur around film sites suggest. What we're probably looking at is a live-action trailer for the next installment of the Mortal Kombat game series. If this is the case, there's no doubt we'll hear about it at the fast-approaching E3 expo.

If you fancy yourself a bit of a fighter, and have been giving Super Street Fighter IV a good run-in, then you should probably get involved with one of the OzHadou tournament qualifiers running in your state during May. In 2009 the fighting genre was revitalised as a single game inspired a new generation of players and recaptured the last. There's no doubting the significance and brilliance of Capcom's Street Fighter IV, but what's surprising is that its latest iteration, Super Street Fighter IV, is being hailed as something even better.

SSFIV has a meta review average of over 90 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and after reading just a couple of the reviews it's not hard to see why. It's out today for $78 at EB Games, and the 'tournament manager' will be available for download on June 15th....
