Although, you should be warned that once you have the game, there's a 133mb patch to download, and then an hour long install thereafter. Thankfully functionality has been built in so you can play while it installs, but that patch you're just going to have to sit there and wait for. Another Gran Turismo 5 release date has been announced, although this time, we're willing to put money on it sticking - mainly due to it having gone gold over a week ago. The official date is November 24th, and Australian's will be seeing it on November 25th. We've embedded the game's weak release date trailer for your perusal....

Be you wide-eyed, bursting with excitement, or actually laughing, rest assured this isn't a joke. Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo series creator, has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 development is complete. He revealed this during an interview at SEMA, a Las Vegas car show, today. "The discs are being stamped as we speak," Yamauchi told Jalopnik when quizzed on the game's latest delay....

Are you surprised? Really? Gran Turismo 5 will no longer race onto PlayStation 3's November 2nd. Apparently, we can now expect the game in the "near future", just in time for the Christmas holidays! No real reason for the delay was provided by Sony, but they did release an apologetic statement for fans of the forthcoming racer....

When you're developing a game for 5+ years, you really do need to keep the bread crumb trail going - because interest and enthusiasm can wander, even with a killer IP such as Gran Turismo. Thankfully, the guys over at Polyphony do a pretty damn good job of this. But no, we still don't have a release date...

Last night we reported about the troubling GT5 delay, and expected it would domino effect to effect the Western release. Not so, says Sony, who have explained to CVG that the reported delay of Gran Turismo 5 is "only applicable for the Japanese market". However, that is of course the only territory that had a release date - so we wouldn't suggest you expect with any certainty that this still won't roll-over to other regions....

Forum member Ronan has made us aware of the cruel and unfortunate news. This is hardly surprising, but Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed once more. Fans were excited to hear of it's Japanese March release, however now that has been shifted to the indeterminate "TBA". There's no word on whether this delay will effect the "Summer 2010" release for a Western release, but I think most of you would agree that it's safe to assume that yes, it will....
