Bethesda and id Software have released their next behind the scenes look at RAGE, this time discussing the various weapons, ammo types, and gadgets you'll come across in the wasteland. There is some big weapons, and some big gore. The boomstick is back and there are some interesting new additions such as the boomerang-like "Wing Stick".

A new video from Bethesda has been unveiled, showing off id Software's upcoming first person shooter; Rage. There's not really many Rage specifics detailed, but a whole lot is said about how awesome and amazing id Software is. You'll hear from John Carmack and a bunch of other studio veterans, who talk about their invention and perfection of the genre, with some nice snippets of the forthcoming Rage itself.

If you just squealed with joy, you're not alone. John Carmack of id Software was recently speaking to Eurogamer, where he said that "strong factions" at the studio have motivation to take the Quake series back to its roots. "We think that would be a more interesting direction than doing more Strogg stuff after Quake 4" he continued to explain....

There has been lots going on at E3, including some more demonstrations over at the id Software camp, in the form of a Rage trailer titled "The Well". Personally I think what we've seen of Rage has been entirely hit-and-miss, with some really underwhelming footage. This snippet however looks mighty impressive, at least from an aesthetic perspective if nothing else...

I'm not sure exactly where to start, or how to say it nicely, so I'll start with a very blunt statement and continue to explain why thereafter: Brink is a disappointment. That's not to say it's an entirely bad game, but for me the bad far outweighs the good....

We haven't seen a huge amount of actual Rage gameplay yet, but now there's an entire 5 minutes to gawk at, with the release of a trailer taking us into Shrouded clan's bunker. Unfortunately the gameplay looks entirely underwhelming, and has un-sold me on this game. Perhaps I'll buy some beer instead. Have a look for yourself......
