Update: it turns out that SSG Tran isn't the one assumed. This SSG Tran stopped by the forums to let us know that he's alive and well. He's a retired US Army Staff Sergeant, now working in Hollywood as a military consultant for Dagger Media Group & Sacred Sword. He and others he worked with are in fact avatars and playable characters in the game. Every so often a trailer is released that leaves you not just excited about the forthcoming film, game or product, but genuinely impressed with the trailer itself. This Call of Duty: Black Ops live action trailer delivers one of those rare moments, and thrones itself as an instant classic. I might just go ahead and watch it again.
