Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was just updated again, making a number of changes and additions to the game. The default map has been switched from Inferno to Train, which appears to be a far better recreation than Inferno, apart from the fog issue. There are also a bunch of new weapons: the Para, the TEC-9 Pistol, the SG 552 (pictured), and the AUG.... -

Care of Koroush who runs tweakguides.com, NVIDIA has published a Skyrim tweak guide at GeForce.com. "The aim of this guide is to allow you to better understand and utilize all of the configuration options available in Skyrim, as well as a selection of advanced tweaks to enhance the game." Skyrim receives 1.3 patch
After the blunder that was Skyrim 1.2, Bethesda has quickly struck back with another update for the massively popular fantasy RPG. Of particular note: dragons should not longer fly backwards and player resistances should now be working again. There's a couple performance tweaks in there as well.- General stability improvements

Finally, Batman: Arkham City recieves its desperately needed PC patch via Steam auto-update, fixing the crippling DirectX 11 performance issues that most people with a relatively new video card have been expieriencing. At approximately 6pm AEST on December 6th, that's Tuesday next week, Battlefield 3 will be updated with a 2GB client patch as well as a server update. The reason for such a hefty client patch is that it contains content required for BF3's Back to Karkand expansion. Yesterday's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim patch has fixed some issues but created a whole lot of new ones, players are reporting. Character resistances no longer work in post-patch, meaning you'll have no protection from fire, ice, magic and so-forth - leaving you to take full damage. Oh, and dragons can fly backwards now.

Skyrim is awesome. But sometimes more frustrating than awesome. Thankfully, an important patch for the acclaimed RPG arrives tomorrow and it includes slew of important fixes and improvements for the Xbox 360 and PC. PS3 owners already have their patch which dramatically raises performance on the system. Here's some of what you can look forward to:- Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PlayStation 3)

RAGE had a few problems at launch, but it has been patched! Huzzah! Included in the additions and fixes are vsync and texture cache options within the menu, as well as the ability to set your own anisotropic filter level. Having trouble with performance playing Splinter Cell Conviction with an older graphcis card? How about playing it at all with a brand new GTX400-series? Or is it simply that you wanted to use an Xbox 360 controller but the button mapping is all out of whack?
Whatever your your problem with Conviction's PC release, you might soon have better luck. Ubisoft have just sent out patch 1.02 addressing those issues, and others. Over at the Electronics Arts UK forums, a DICE representative has produced a long, long list of issues hampering Bad Company 2 at present. Astonishingly, every single one of these issues has also been responded to with a 'status' to give those concerned a genuine idea of when or how it's going to be fixed. In some cases, though, there's acknowledgment and dismissal - which is most unfortunate......
