In keen anticipation of a hefty play session and the writing of a review I fired up RAGE for the first time last night. Bethesda and id Software have released their next behind the scenes look at RAGE, this time discussing the various weapons, ammo types, and gadgets you'll come across in the wasteland. There is some big weapons, and some big gore. The boomstick is back and there are some interesting new additions such as the boomerang-like "Wing Stick".

A new video from Bethesda has been unveiled, showing off id Software's upcoming first person shooter; Rage. There's not really many Rage specifics detailed, but a whole lot is said about how awesome and amazing id Software is. You'll hear from John Carmack and a bunch of other studio veterans, who talk about their invention and perfection of the genre, with some nice snippets of the forthcoming Rage itself.

There has been lots going on at E3, including some more demonstrations over at the id Software camp, in the form of a Rage trailer titled "The Well". Personally I think what we've seen of Rage has been entirely hit-and-miss, with some really underwhelming footage. This snippet however looks mighty impressive, at least from an aesthetic perspective if nothing else...

We haven't seen a huge amount of actual Rage gameplay yet, but now there's an entire 5 minutes to gawk at, with the release of a trailer taking us into Shrouded clan's bunker. Unfortunately the gameplay looks entirely underwhelming, and has un-sold me on this game. Perhaps I'll buy some beer instead. Have a look for yourself......

RAGE, id Software's upcoming shooter, is showcased in a new trailer embedded right here for you to watch. It has been a long time coming for another of id Software's "when it's done" titles, but finally we've been given a release date for Rage, their new post apocalyptic shooter. It's always a bit strange when a game you've been looking forward to for years gets its debut release on and a mobile phone, as a tiny tech demo. But that is exactly how things have panned out with Rage, id Software's new post apocalyptic shooter. The mobile game comes in at a low $1.19, and is compatible with the iPhone 3, iPod Touch, iPhone 4 and iPad....

You read correctly; games the caliber of Gears of War could be running on devices such as the iPhone within a couple of years. But really, who's surprised? Considering the enormous leap forward in mobile device hardware in recent times, paired with the tech demos we've seen of the Unreal Engine and id Tech 5 running on the iPhone, there's little doubt AAA titles on mobile phones is just around the corner....

QuakeCon is underway, and to celebrate id Software in conjunction with Bethesda has lined up most of their back catalog at crazy, bargain basement prices. You'll find Doom and Wolfenstein titles on the iPhone App Store starting a mere AUD $1.19, and 66% of a bunch of titles on Steam. They're only on sale until Sunday, but each day until then you'll find another great deal made available.

A bunch of new Rage videos have been spotted at GameSpot, featuring footage from E3 2010. Juicy! I must admit, for the longest part this id Software title appeared completely underwhelming, but you just can't ignore it picking up numerous best-of-show awards including 'Best Action Game', 'Best Console Game' and 'Special Commendation for Graphics.'...
