To play on the Internode Never Winter Nights server you need:

Shadows of Undrentide Expansion pack
These are now avaialable together in the NWN Gold pack.
Server IP is 203.26.94.151:5121 Just enter that into the direct connect box in game and connect.

Dial up isn't a problem for playing NWN just be prepared to spend a while patching.
HotU is not required to play on the node server (will be soon). You can still use HotU for character classes that are added.

as far as i know, it supports epic levels, and if you have hotu, you can play the prestige classes it introduced.

Creating A Shortcut To Connect To NWN #1/#2
After spotting these i wanted to find the answers and i did

Create a shortcut to nwmain.exe which contains a target along these lines:
C:\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect ip:port
eg. These are the targets i have for my 2 shortcuts

My main intention for buying this game was to get it play it and kill dragons as much as possible :P
So i am just wondering what eeveronethought on what class/race/levels on a character i would need to be able to kill them.
I understand that i cant just walk up to one and kill him in a instant but i want to train a character up and learn how to kill the mighty beasts. So any suggestions wowoulde apappreciated.

You only need to get NWN gold at this present time. But you will be required to get HotU some time within the next few weeks/months.
NWN gold comes with NWN and the 1st expansion SoU and costs about $70
