I knew these guys were off the planet, but I just listened to a couple albums again, when it became more apparent than ever.

Stawberry Fields Forever...

Quote:
Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hungabout.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.
It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out, it doesn't matter much to me.
Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hungabout.
Strawberry Fields forever.

No one I think is in my tree, I mean it must be high or low.
That is you can't you know tune in but it's all right, that is I think it's not too bad.
Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hungabout.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Always, no sometimes, think it's me, but you know I know when it's a dream.
I think I know I mean a 'Yes' but it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree.
Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hungabout.
Strawberry Fields forever.
Strawberry Fields forever.

Not so strange is that this song is one of the most complex recordings the Beatles ever did, with extensive editing/overdubbing.

Sure, they were stupid to the uneducated, and im not talking about the conventional sense of educated.

Anyone with half a soul and half a brain, regardless of whether they were into the similar or same sene as half of these bands, could connect to they messages they were trying to get across, messages that have changed the world.

They were creating all of what we imagined and what we could wish for. Music wise and other. It's a shame you feel the way you do, if anything you're missing out on some of the most important united "people" concepts, sharing similar ideals and views that have helped the world understand, move forward, and make our very own differences.

We're where we are today is party because of these people that had the minds and talent to speak truth to people, to a lesser extent truth to power (anyone name the quote and win a prize).

If you're happy with teen-angst music I'm happy for you, I really am... seriously... however some of us like to look deeper.

lol have you heard if you play 'another one bites the dust' in reverse it says 'its fun to smoke marijuana' kinda old but still funny. I dunno about anyone else but as long as the song sounds cool i'm happy with it, i don't really listen to the message of it.

Those three words are also frequently used drug related terms.

Rec my Father is an expert when it comes with the Beatles :) and he said to find the lyrics too "I am the walrus". but dont worry i have done it for you :)

Quote:
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I’m crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody tuesday.
Man, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob.

Mister city policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like lucy in the sky, see how they run.
I’m crying, I’m crying.
I’m crying, I’m crying.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog’s eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob.

Sitting in an english garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don’t come, you get a tan
From standing in the english rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob.

Expert textpert choking smokers,
Don’t you thing the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty,
See how they snied.
I’m crying.

Semolina pilchard, climbing up the eiffel tower.
Elementary penguin singing hari krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking edgar allan poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob.
Goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob g’goo.

man that shit is wack.:?

they were so popular BECAUSE they were smoking so much crack. or what ever pasted there possesion. musicians all over the world play their best when they are/were high. the beatles is no exception :) they had a unique sound no one has ever or will ever be able to do.

Nah, that was just a myth. The song was actually based on a painting Lennon's kid drew, and said that is was "Lucy in the sky with diamonds." I just want to know what the kid was on.

Nonetheless, The Beatles did admit to using drugs, I believe including LSD. But hell, so did all the other bands at the time.
