Bored and lonely? - customise MSN

Ok, so I just got back from gym after tearing a muscle, and im completely bored. I wrote an e-mail, and checked to see if anyone was online. As usual, noone was. Then I looked at the writing that says:

None of your contacts are online

And thought it would be funny if I changed it :)

Here's how:

1) First, you need Resource Hacker.
2) Now, open up Resource Hacker and find your MSN Messenger folder, and open up the msgslang.dll file.
3) Go to: String Table > 26 > 1033
4) Now at the bottom there's the words that say 'None of your contacts are online'. Change it to whatever tickles your fancy :)
5) Now click 'Compile Script'. Make sure MSN Messenger is NOT running, and then save the 'msgslang.dll' file.

:D Ta da!

Note: If you are worried about screwing something up, you should make a backup of the 'msgslang.dll' file.

well, at least it confirms you're bored... ;)

i think theres a way to do it in windows or something but its always fun to screw around with things...

ive always got sumone online due to having my ex-clan mates still on there (american D2X clan, so dif time zones and all)

but ill need to test this out.

i can never see my offline list because alot of people are always online, i have to delete people that i dont talk to much anymore because my list is full and i cbf going to http://mess.be and getting the extra room for more people :D

Nah, my list consists MOSTLY of people I know. The exception of Sam, Cameron, and possibly a couple of others. There's only 50 people on there... some of which might need to be deleted.

I'm like you though Lilu... I only talk to < 10 people. Except if I'm bored. There's about 10 people though who I ALWAYS talk to!

I have 150 people on my list because thats the limit...
Of course.. I never talk to anyone unless I want something from them - why talk to people otherwise?

just get the patch to let u run more than one MSN at a time.. and use two or three emails.

but jono man, msn is easy as to use, i couldnt say i know an easier one. of course, yahoo messenger is ok, but loads and loads of ppl use msn, why be better off using a different one? (which one u use?)
