Lineage 2

Hi guys,

Thanks to 3vil i'm currently playing the beta. Heaps of fun, loving every second. It looked finished but today the server has gone down for 36hrs for about 5 pages of new content/updates :) Its gonna be great.

I think most of yas know, When i started playing Dark Ages of Camelot (the last benchmark in MMORPGs) i disappeared for a while, it was a great game, great people but shit customer support. Anyway, i've been askin around and managed to get a few who have seen L2 and would like to play it, what i want is for people wanting/willing to play for this game, its P2P btw, if you'd care to merge with guys to make a GU guild or something like that.

Btw, customer support in this game is good, and with the beta being free thats pretty bloody awesome. Hope we can get a few people interested, will be lots of fun. Will post info about the game if anyone would like more info.

Yeah i been playing closed beta to, Just waiting to see whether or not they delete my dwarf :(, Guess i can rename my clan if my character is lost though.

I would be willing to pay a bit to play this game, Have found it very enjoyable so far, Especially when ya get large parties of people happening. Being my first MMORPG i can't really compare it to anything but i think its great.

Use are all on the North American Server correct?

Been chatting with me DAOC mates and got a few definites and well we'd like to get the DAoC players and the GU players into one guild if you's are willing.

Tachi i'd suggest taking the Bounty Hunter path if your sticking with dwarf, they can't craft but they are good looters. Oh and your dwarf will be wiped when we go to Open Beta. Probably when it goes retail as well but no word from NCsoft yet.

I'm currently playing a dwarf and loving it, its supposed to be one of the harder races/classes to play but i feel its very rewarding...i like crafting and i will taking the warsmith path.

Ya cockroache its pay to play with good reason. The best games i've played are P2P (Pay to Play) btw. The money thats paid every month goes towards 24hr support, new content and fixes. There are other reasons, i just can't think of em atm...got up to early :shock:

Character my be wiped at prelude, (current update)

nah tachi, won't be wiped for about another week when open beta starts. They need the higher level players to test the prelude chronicle before open beta.

Heh character wasn't wiped for prelude, Now i can pointlessly lvl up and have my dwarf wiped for OB :)

Hmmm i might join although i made a guild in closed beta, so made a heap of friends which would like to keep it going for when we start again. Only problem is the bloody time differences. When i play in the afternoon they playing at like 4am :) etc.

Its not like people not in OB can play anyway, And the downloadable client won't work for when the game goes commercial.

The client works ok, the buggy part on the install file was this one:
ChrSound.uax - which you can just download from someone who has it, and you're off.

They aren't accepting anymore poeple for OB but from what I have been told you can buy key's ingame for 45k.

I didnt get one key from them.

you can only ever get one key though :) unless your stupid enough to sign up two different names :P all you have to do it wait.

just wondering... what character you are??? i have downloaded 10% so far :D but hopefully will be finished in 1 day... just wanting to know if i need to know anything particular about the characters? hope its great...

p.s ... thinking of dark fighter.... but havn't decided 100% yet...

I go into one place, and I can learn skill sfor like 520 SP (some at 260), and I go up the other end and that chick says I dont know who she is and wont teach me, man stupid POS it's pissing me off.

Nah Ze, some people teach mage skills, some teach fighter skills. She wont teach your sorry ass any fighter skills, thats all. In fact i dont blame her for not wanting crap all to do with you.... :twisted: :twisted:

Also, if your skills are costing that much sp, im assuming your at a reasonable level.
The Dark Mages are able to gain fighter skills at higher levels, as far as i know.

Every 7 lvl's you mystic's get new skill's.
Every 5 lvl's fighters get new skill's.

Hes talking about crossing skills.
Ie - Fighters getting mage skills and Mages getting fighter skills.

I 'think' its possible once you hit level 21 and are able to change your career path.

If you mean going from fighter to mystic or vice versa, I don't think you can.

Career path changes at 20, But if you were a mage to begin with you would only be able to change into more specialized mage classes, same goes with fighter. There might be the odd fighter skill a mage may get but no crossing classes.
