Ok just seeing if anyone is at all interested in an old server. It's an IBM Netfinity 5000 Series P3 750, specs as follows:
1x9.1GB SCSI HDD 1x36.0GB SCSI HDD 1xIBM 12-24 4mm DAT SCSI TAPEDRIVE 15" Monitor Keyboard & Mouse 700vA UPS. Back-Up Exec software Microsoft Office 97. Carbon Copy Winzip 7.0 (Licensed copy, allows you to upgrade to latest version and keeps the details ;) )
Blah Blah Blah.. Just wanted to see if anyone is interested it's an old machine, purchased 01/March/99 but it does a good job and it wouldn't make a bad linux machine. Comes with all original manuals, boxes, everything. Kept in excellent condition. Make an offer, ask a question, whatever!
Also got a Netcomm Smart I-Share Modem to flog off and a 10MB 8 port switch.. The modem is basically a hardware ICS router with 4 10MB ports. 56K Only.
Quote from Ph3n0m3n0n: are those HDD's any goog? the 36gig one? there SCSI man do you know what that mean there not IDE you will need a SCSI controler to run them but there 10k rmp correct?
Looks like the offers will be closer to Neo's then I thought ;) Turns out the server is only a PII 450.
Also got a 24 port hp rackmount 10/100 switch to go and prob 10-15 Cat5 cables of assorted lengths.
The harddrives aren't bad for what they are. They're nothing special they're old scsi drives so you'll need to have a scsi adapter to use them but they're not Ultra Wide or anything like that!
