Before 29 comes along we'll be gracing the community with yet another work-over on the Darwin Gamers Association website. Not only a cosmetic and code overhaul, but the new site will be located at www.darwingamers.org and not www.darwingamers.com - so get ready to update your links.

Post 4

Complications in-house with committee rights and authority over content.

Post 5

Seems I have upset some people, sorry for that.

Post 6

hehe tn1 ;)

Post 7

Why not .org.au? Or asn.au, for that matter? DGA qualifies, so far as I can tell, and both dga.org.au and dga.asn.au are free.

Post 8

Because .org is much nicer.

Post 9

who cares, if its easy to get to n the site looks good (hard to look bad with rec designing) then i don't give a rats

Post 11

yes why not .au as we are all proud australians :P

also what about the G-U make over that was ment to happen around a month ago?

Post 12

i like it the way it is

Post 13

Putting aside being proud Australians etc, I just think that "dga" is easier to remember and spell (for those challenged by that spelliering thingie) than "darwingamers".

It's not my call though.

FWIW I've found Bottle Domains are pretty good for org.au. The Liberal Club snagged ulc.org.au for 2 years for "6, which is less than most places charge you for a .com every year.

How exactly would you get these domains free? I want one...

Anyway, why not just keep the current one, or you changing to .org so I doesn't sound too commercial. Correct me if I'm wrong but .org is for non-profitibal organisations, correct? Well then I guess it suits DGA well. Still, to change everything is.... troublesome.

Post 15

its not too hard to change the domain name
you are able to just cloak the old domain even

Post 16

free, as in, available.

Post 17

Ahh, as in that kind of free, Silly me...

Post 18

"It's up" may have been a slight exaggeration on your part, Knight.

"There's a nice under construction logo" is perhaps more accurate. :)
