Basically; when I try and add a new avatar I get the following message:

This happens with both uploading from machine aswell as uploading from website :?

yeah, what heretic said - i had to do a bit of messing around with certain files to get an avatar up...
what kind of stuffing around ? just changing file types etc?

I've tried mine in *.jpg, *.jpeg. *.gif and *.png, and I've tried uploading it from a site and no matter WHAT I fucking do, I CANNOT upload my new avatar. Comes up with that "The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png" bullshit.
Yeah, I still get those problems too :( I'm avatar less! Omg! I'm guessing once I see 'improvements' (I say that because I don't know what is being done) or I see a Sticky or Announcement about them, I will try again then. Someone said it was being fixed up in the improvements.

seems to have been fixed, i noticed amph has a avatar up
errr those look an awful lot like pics from the library of "default" avatars

this sucks i got some i wanna put up but cant, oh well just a matter of waiting :)
Yeah Sam... I saw those newbs had used ones from the gallery :) so I thought "Hmm... its better than nothing! Let's see what I can find".
It was either this one or the stupidest one I could find 8)
