I don't see what the problem with steam is - I reckon its great - auto bugfixes/updates, central server based accounts. I've never had any problems with it crashing, etc.
Maybe it's your lack PC knowledge milenko that's the prob ;)

HL2 wouldnt be as big as what is made out. neither will wow. there are so many awesome games coming out in the next few month. EQ2, Lineage's C2, Dungeon siege2, KOTR2, HL2, doom3 mods, wow etc.

he pointed out that wow has been pre-ordered more than hl2 in commercial stores. but wow is an online only game. meaning it will be the biggest MMORPG of all time. seen as half a million people have signed up for the beta on almost 50 servers.
apples and grapes :) i would expect more HL2 copies to be sold :P but is not the case at one of the largest games distribution companies in australia. and its funny :)

I dislike steam for various reasons.
The main one being that i've had nothing but problems with it crashing etc, even on fresh installs of winblows.
Excellent Concept, pathetic realisation and execution.
But thats off topic.

it only crashed and had bugs when it first came out. probably why many people say that is great and they they must rock coz its never crashed :P
its fine now. and the bugs have been ironed out...but be careful with the hl2 realese..i dont know what its gunna be like when that happens...if i were you i would time to the second when it comes out to download the patch and such..coz i got a feeling it'll be backed up a while.
