I'm not happy about the situation with B&B's... It's terrible they've gone, and it's shameful that someone would actually take legal action to that sort of level where the Coupers have had to do what they've done.
There's business, and Ethics. Both play an important role in society. I don't think Mr Lapira really appreciates how much they tie together.

Agreed....whats moral should always be taken into account....what kind of morals is, You owe me money so Im going to cost u your business, your car and your house.

Post 9

thats the gamble business owners take. if they breached the lease...they breached the lease. i agree the rent was stupid and they had to move...and it was unfortunate to hear the situation taht they are in...but the landlord shouldnt be out of pocket either. forget morals. its business. the lease says one thing and they didnt stick to it. the lanlord could then loose tens of thousands or sue.

sorry to hear bill. unfortunate situation. bits and bytes was really going good too.

Whilst what mark is saying is 100% true, I think because we all know him persoanlly we feel more sorry for him.

Just said, I mean breach of contact is just that .. a breach of contract.

Post 12

I am sure that thier old shop was not vacant for a long period of time. So peter lapira would have a hard time trying to sue them for the remaining time left on the lease. I think legally if he puts new tennants into the premisis he can only charge for the time the store was left vacant.

Post 13

still a breach of contract, it depends on the contract terms.

Post 14

Everybody knows Lapira is a dickhead though, so he will try and screw them for everything he possibly can
