well considering you can download at up to 1500 kilobits / second.. i would say it's entirely possible.
you're only getting 55 kilobytes per second.
it's all in your head dude, all in your head. you cant get those speeds on adsl... steam has speed calculation issues
and its in bits, not bytes
i thought it was :S.. unless they sudden change over to Dslam all of a sudden lol
how do you know cos it saying ill have half life 2 in 260 hours :P
http://www.gamers-underground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9347
no glitch.. steam measures in kilobits.. divide by 8 to get kilobytes... it's not that hard man.
thats F@$King stupid who measures anything in kilobits i rather measure in bytes
suppose if you think about it if it was doing that speed would only take hour or 2 to download hl2 :S
they needa fix that
why is it stupid? it's clearly indicated. b = bits. B = bytes.
Kb/s
thats why im saying its stupid why not say
kbits/s so ppl know
kb/s
i dont see it clearly marked anywhere b = bits and B = bytes
B can mean both
do you see adsl companys offer 512 KB :P no its in Kbits
umm.. anyone who cares about download speed should know the difference between b and B. ISP usually sell plans in (k) because it is understood 1500k is kilobits... and usually explained somewhere too
well i have seen half-life 2 update @ 1.1 mb / sec.
burk your wrong cos unless you tell the companys about the mistake on there website they leave it as that COUGH TELSTRA
Like the mistake they where making with there limit they put the wrong measurements on there site and screwing themselves over.
anyone else noticed how telstra change the way the measure your usage now ?
is it right now? omg! yes! and now is when i looked.. on telstra (who list is as kbps) internode and iinet list is as (k)
look harder
and i do believe its just a k after well now that cant stand for kbytes now can it COS THERES NO FLAMMIN B is there

umm.. you obviously missed the bit in the blue where it says 1500kbit / 256kbit
how can someone miss read kbit you dickhead
Fellas....

i thought you were trying to prove that the speeds could be mistaken for kilobytes... (KB)... whatever.
ROFL Ph3n.
Hahahhaahhaa.
don't encourage him.
omg phen that photo is A SHOCKER
LMAO ph3n lol
regard to the topic, i got optus cable and when i formatted it took me like 5 minutes to download hl2 and like 10 minutes for source, not totally sure of the speeds as this was a good week ago
