Harb won't be able to make it to this one, so i'll be administering the timetable this time around.
As always, the appropriate patches will be available.
And if you intend upon playing HL2 DM at all, please please please remember to ensure steam has been properly updated before you leave home. Also remember to test HL2 DM in offline mode before you unplug, and also to quit steam properly when you do. If you go to play HL2 DM in offline mode on the day and it won't let you, then baby jesus will surely cry.
Feel free to post any questions/comments you might have - this is for you guys after all.
having never played it however, i have no idea if this would work out or not. i'll try to have a play of it beforehand (even if it's on the day), and probably decide then. if it turns out that chaos theory is ok, then yeah i'll change pandora tomorrow to chaos theory.
Quote from close001: is there a time table for dga 35 yet? Mungus is doing it for DGA 35 again. If you have any requests or comments post them here and he might take them onboard. Timetable will be up shortly.
Time tables never work, and unless the timetable features a large organisation of a clan battle then noones going to follow it. At lan people just peer around and see what looks like a bit of fun. The timetable however will work if you manage to stick to you time table and tell a large group of people what they can play and at what time, that way everyone will follow. The time table did help me to see what games I should buy before lan, so cheers for that. Will you be yelling out the time table at The Lan?
um, ok. we've actually found that timetables HAVE worked fairly well, with the exception of DGA 34, where the timetable was completely ignored on account of every man child and rodent playing SWAT4. in the timetables before, however, we've been seeing around about 15-20 people in each timetabled game.
thanks for your opinion however. do you have any other suggestions on how the timetable could be made better? we are aware that it is difficult to get everyone's attention at once, so at DGA 35 i plan upon screaming before each game starts, and showing the timetable on the projector.
Fair enouf point taken. Yeah yelling might help a fair bit. mabye if we could get a copy of it on entry it would help a fair bit, we would pay more attention to it.
